PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) — Small businesses affected by the Washington Bridge closure will be able to meet with the House Small Business Committee in April at the State House.
The session will take place at 3 pm in Room 101.
The committee is chaired by Representative Carol Hagan McEntee and House Majority Whip Katherine S. Kazarian.
“Our state’s small businesses, particularly in the East Bay and in Providence, have been devastated by the bridge closure,” said Chairwoman McEntee.
“We put this meeting together for our stressed small businesses so they can detail their first-hand experiences of how the bridge closure is impacting their daily lives while also gathering crucial information on how the House can support these frustrated and struggling small businesses.”
“This meeting will be an opportunity for our small businesses to elevate their voices on a statewide level and to accurately describe what the bridge closure has done to their businesses and livelihoods,” said Whip Kazarian.
Written testimony is encouraged from small businesses that are not able to attend the meeting.
