Before the beginning of the 18th-century, there was a brief flowering of courtroom music following the Stuart Restoration. Composers corresponding to Matthew Locke and later Henry Purcell found appreciable success, significantly with the popular court docket masques. Although Classical music in the 2000s has lost most of its custom for musical improvisation, from the Baroque period to the Romantic era Art & Music, there are examples of performers who may improvise in the fashion of their period. In the Baroque period, organ performers would improvise preludes, keyboard performers enjoying harpsichord would improvise chords from the figured bass symbols beneath the bass notes of the basso continuo half and each vocal and instrumental performers would improvise musical ornaments. Johann Sebastian Bach was particularly noted for his complex improvisations.
The main influence was the Murillesque, and in some instances – as in the criollo Cristóbal de Villalpando – that of Juan de Valdés Leal. The portray of this era has a more sentimental tone, with candy and softer shapes. Its proponents incluse Gregorio Vasquez de Arce y Ceballos in Colombia, and Juan Rodríguez Juárez and Miguel Cabrera in Mexico. In Italy, artists often collaborated with architects on inside decoration; Pietro da Cortona was one of the painters of the seventeenth century who employed this illusionist method of painting.
Contemporary Art

Postmodern Music
The publication in 1798 of Lyrical Ballads, with lots of the finest poems by Wordsworth and Coleridge, is usually held to mark the beginning of the movement.
