Bisnis.comJAKARTA- PT Clipan Finance Indonesia Tbk. (CFIN) talks about the profit and dividend prospects for the 2023 financial year.
Clipan Finance President Director Harjanto Tjitohardjojo stated that the company’s pre-audited profit is estimated to reach IDR 800 billion in 2023. Meanwhile, for dividends, the decision is left to the main shareholders.
“Business prospects are good, management will submit proposals, but the decision is still left to the shareholders,” said Harjanto when contacted BusinessSaturday (20/1/2024).
The increase in company profits was driven by three main factors, namely the recovery from asset write-offan increase in new financing by 20%, as well as cost efficiency.
For information, CFIN distributed cash dividends of IDR 398.4 billion or IDR 100 per share for the 2022 financial year. This amount is equivalent to 128% of the net profit recorded in 2022, namely IDR 310.72 billion.
This figure is quite large, especially since the company chose not to distribute dividends for the 2021 financial year.
At that time, Harjanto also explained the reasons why the company chose to distribute dividends of 128% of profits for the 2022 financial year.
According to him, one of the considerations was the company’s profit which shot up 571.02% on an annual basis from the same period the previous year, which only made a profit of IDR 46.3 billion.
Not only that, continued Harjanto, with the distribution of dividends,
indicating that CFIN shares are liquid and attractive as an investment option. Moreover, according to him, the company has not distributed dividends for 10 years.
