KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. PT BNI Multifinance or BNI Finance recorded an investment financing value until October 2023 of IDR 420 billion.

BNI Multifinance Business Director Albertus Hendi said that investment financing increased by 18% compared to the same period last year.

“The reason is that BNI Finance is starting to expand into BNI Bank’s non-captive debtors,” he told Kontan.co.id, Monday (13/11).

Albertus explained that investment financing until October 2023 will take up 18% of the company’s total financing. He conveyed the average company investment financing for operational, commercial vehicles and heavy equipment used to support the debtor’s business.

Regarding future prospects, Albertus said that investment financing usually decreases slightly in December, but increases in November. This is due to the debtor’s habit of not taking units towards the end of the year, but delaying them until the beginning of the year.

“Not because of postponing needs, but just because of the end of the year,” he said.

Albertus predicts that next year the prospects for investment financing will remain as stable as in 2023, even though there is an election agenda in 2024.

However, he said, with the 2024 election we also need to be careful with appropriate mitigations so that investments remain safe.

“We hope that this election will run in an orderly and safe manner so that it does not disrupt the investment climate in the country,” he said.

For information, the Financial Services Authority (OJK) recorded multi-finance company financing receivables of IDR 458.70 trillion as of September 2023. The growth of multi-finance financing receivables is still recording high growth, namely 15.42% Year on Year (YoY) as of September 2023.

The growth in financing receivables was supported by working capital and investment financing which grew by 26.46% YoY and 13.66% YoY respectively.
