BCA Named the Strongest Banking Brand in the World by Brand Finance, This is the Value of BSI

HARIANHALUAN.COM – The Indonesian financial industry is proud, because PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) was named the world’s strongest banking brand by Brand Finance.

Brand Finance itself is a world-leading independent consultant for brand valuation strategy and measurement.

Reporting from the official BCA website, BCA’s appointment as the strongest banking brand in the world refers to the Brand Finance report entitled “Top 500 Banking Brands” which was released in March 2024.

In this report, BCA was ranked first in the list of the strongest banking brands in the world.


The top position achieved by BCA beat hundreds of other global banking brands, such as those from the United States, Europe, Asia and Africa.

In line with that, BCA’s Brand Strength Index (BSI) value is also the highest among other global banks, namely with a score of 93.8 on a scale of 100. This figure is recorded in the “Global 10 by Brand Strength Index” list.

A number of other global banking brands that also followed BCA in the highest BSI score and entered the “Global 10 by Brand Strength Index” are Equity Bank, Banca Transilvania, First National Bank, Kenya Commercial Bank, ICBC, Capitec Bank, Vietcombank, Bank of China, and CTBC Bank.

Apart from that, BCA was also able to score a AAA+ brand rating and this is certainly an extraordinary achievement.

In its report, Brand Finance wrote about the reasons behind the strength of banking brands, especially those in Asia and Africa.

“On average, Asian and African banking brands have the greatest brand strength in the Brand Finance study. “This is largely because both continents have many strong national banking players in their respective markets,” wrote Brand Finance.

In this case, the term “brand strength” is used by Brand Finance as a measure of overall brand health, which reflects the position of a brand in the hearts and minds of customers and the wider market.
